Boxer apologises for comment about gays

The eight-time boxing champion has apologised for making hurtful comment about gays in Philippines. The boxer said gay people are "worse than animals". He made this remark on on a television program broadcast by Filipino station TV5. The 37-year-old who is currently running for a seat in the country's seat said

"It is common sense. Will you see animals where male is to male and female is to female?. The animals are better. They know how to distinguish male from female. If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals. "

He clarified his comment first on his instagram page before posting a video message on twitter.
