Two goals from Lionel Messi gave the Catalans a win at emirate in the first leg of the champions league rounds of 16.
The Argentine breaks his no goal streak against Cech with two great goals. The deadlock was broken in the 72nd minutes as the Argentine fired in the ball past the goal keeper. Both sides had chances to open the scoring with Alex Chamberlain missing a goal which was catched by Ter Stegen.
Luis Suarez also headed wide from Dani Alves corner. Barcelona took better charge of the second half with Neymar losing a one-on-one to Cech before Suarez hit the bar. The deadlock was broken after Neymar laid down a good pass to Messi and the Argentine struck the back of the net to open the scoring
He added a goal after he was brought down by Mathieu Flamini in the box to earn a penalty kick for Luis Enrique men. Leo took the penalty and found the back of the net to make it two goals to no in the first leg.
The Arsene Wenger men now have a difficult task ahead of them to qualify for the champions league quarter final as they travel to camp nou for the second leg.
